Ingrown nails are a common but painful condition that happen for a variety of reasons. Our team are specialists in resolving this issue and preventing the nail associated pain and infection worsening. Following treatment of the painful nail, our team can continue to manage your nails and show you correct nail techniques. For serious or stubborn nails, nail surgery may be the best option.

Nail Surgery

 

A specialist procedure that offers long term resolution of painful ingrown and problem nails. Either the whole or a section of nail is removed to gain the desired result. This procedure is performed under local anaesthetic by one of our specialist Podiatrists and all aftercare is considered and managed by our team until full resolution. Verrucca

 

Verrucas are a viral infection caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). These can be very painful and problematic. Our treatments for verrucas including debriding, which will reduce the verruca to make it more comfortable for cryotherapy. We can also use a variety of different medicaments depending on the size or location of the verruca.

Our specialist team will assess the treatment required and discuss options at your initial appointment.

Diabetes Assessments

 

Annually assessment of foot and tissues – blood flow, pulses, tissue viability, innervation (make sure it heals). You lose that protective sensation with diabetes.

Bio Mechanical Assessments

 

Podiatrists are specialists of the lower limbs. We are here to assess and treat any lower limb pain you may be experiencing. This involves diagnosing and finding the root cause of your pain or injury and coming together with you to design a bespoke plan to treat the issue.

This can involve specific exercises, orthotics and a variety of manual therapies including myofascial release and low-level laser therapy.

Common conditions which benefit from this approach are;

Bio Review

 

This review appointment is used as a follow up to your Biomechanical Assessment and treatment. Here progress is monitored and options for further improvement or different treatment pathways are discussed and implemented. This normally takes place 4-8 weeks after your initial assessment, your Practitioner will advise you on the appropriate timescale.
